Long Distance UK/ European Driver
The Role
As a Long Distance Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the UK and throughout Europe. This includes international routes and cross-border travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport freight to and through European countries
- Ensure timely and secure delivery of goods
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Comply with UK and EU driving regulations.
- Maintain professional communication with clients and the operations team
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
- Checking labels and manifests
- Loading and offloading items from the vans.
- Planning routes and using own initiative.
- Track hours and expenses
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ long-distance or international driving experience preferred
- Good knowledge of UK and European road networks
- Ability to work flexible hours and spend nights away when required
- Strong understanding of transport compliance and safety regulations
- Clean driving license.
